How to reboot your connection / connect directly

It is sometimes necessary to reboot (turn off and turn back on again) the device that is on the roof of your house.  In order therefore to reboot the device on your roof you would unplug the black lead shown in the picture above (numbered 3) , wait approx 20 seconds and then reconnect it again. Doing this can sometimes clear up problems and is worth trying as a first step if you are having problems. We sometimes also ask people to connect directly when they are having problems in order to remove as many components as possible and to help narrow down where problems may be coming from. In order to connect a computer / laptop directly you would take the connection that is in the top right of the picture above (numbered 2) and plug this directly into your laptop or desktop computer, whilst making sure that the power input (numbered 3) remains connected. | |
